December at Relics Press

A Year of Stories, and What Comes Next

As the year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to say thank you. Whether you joined Relics Press as a reader, a fellow writer, or a quiet supporter watching from the edges, you have been part of something that has grown far beyond its original spark.

Relics Press began as a home for my own stories, but over the past year it has steadily become something more. A place for fantasy and heart, for desert ruins and misty forests, for cozy evenings and bold adventures. And now, as we step toward a new year, it is officially becoming a full publishing home for others as well.

A Final Thank You Sale

To close out the year, the holiday sale is still live:

• All ebooks are 99¢
•
All physical books are 25% off
•
Every title is included
•
Ends December 31

You can browse the full bookstore here: https://relicspress.com/the-book-store/

If you have been meaning to pick up Relics of the Shattered Veil, curl up with Mint and Mist, or share Milo the Owl with a young reader in your life, this is the perfect moment.

A Look Back

The final market of the year was the Black Friday event at the Auburn Outlet Mall, a lively way to close out an already full season of markets, signings, and conversations. Every table, every reader interaction, every quiet moment of someone opening a book reminded me why this work matters.

Stories find their people. Sometimes slowly, sometimes all at once.

Introducing Books & Brews

In June 2026, Relics Press will be hosting Books & Brews, a brand-new summer market designed to celebrate books, local authors, and community spaces. This is the first time this event will be held, and planning is already underway.

Vendor submissions will open in early January, and the event will focus on showcasing authors, bookish vendors, and creative voices from across the PNW.

You can learn more about the event here:

Relics Press Is Opening Its Doors

This is the biggest announcement of the season. Relics Press is officially opening submissions and expanding as a full independent publisher.

We are now accepting submissions from PNW authors, as well as working with clients who are seeking professional publishing services, including:

• Editing
• Marketing support
• Launch assistance
• Guided publishing pathways

If you have a story you are ready to bring into the world, or a manuscript that needs a steady hand and thoughtful care, I invite you to explore working with us.

This is where Relics Press begins its next chapter. One built not just on my stories, but on yours.

Looking Ahead

The coming year will bring new books, new collaborations, and new spaces for stories to grow. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey so far, and I cannot wait to see who joins us next.

Until then, may your winter be filled with warm drinks, quiet pages, and the kind of stories that linger long after the last chapter.

With gratitude,
Maurilio Velasco
